Ålesund Ballet School with Carola Teti

True to tradition, the Ålesund Symphony Orchestra invites you to a musical celebration of the new year! This year, we have dedicated the first part of the concert to Nordic music, party music from seriousness to lots of humor and joy. The second part of the concert offers everything from Vienna and dance with ballet dancers from the Ålesund Cultural School's Ballet School to musical pieces from Chicago and Tahiti!

Soloists this year are soprano Eir Inderhaug in a duet with mezzo-soprano Melis Jaatinen. Inderhaug is affiliated with the Norwegian Opera, but is also a very active soloist throughout the country, and with many assignments in Denmark and Germany. Jaatinen is also based in Oslo, but has been a soloist in opera houses throughout the Nordic region, and she released her first album "Impressions du Nord" in 2022 to rave reviews.

As usual, we have allied ourselves with the Ålesund Opera Choir, this year with a first collaboration with their new conductor, Håkon Anvik!
